About

I'm Sophie, a French-raised, culinary-trained filmmaker documenting the intersection of food and immigrant communities in the Hudson Valley. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Wellesley College (2022) where I studied filmmaking and photography.

I'm currently working on an original docuseries about immigrant-run restaurants in the Hudson Valley. The first episode, "Resistance Through Food" is about a Palestinian chef in Beacon and will be released this summer. I recently shot, edited and co-produced Guardianes del Cacao (2025), a short documentary about the ancestral roots of cacao in Ecuador.

Previously I've interned with French news agency Agence France-Presse, Ecuadorian media company Comidas Que Curan

and Minnesota-based Beer Dabbler.

I'm available for freelance editing & camera work in the NY area and I'm willing to travel for work.
